Course Overview
Criminology is the scientific study of deviant behavior, the laws that are there to protect, the justice system, how to safeguard, and the duty of care we have to the people who have engaged in deviant behavior. This BSc (Hons) Criminology degree will give you an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and our society. This course can lead to future careers in the police, social work, the legal system, and occupations working with offenders and their families. You will graduate with a strong insight into deviant behavior and employable skills that will prepare you to work in a wide range of fields. During the course, you will develop critical and analytical skills, learn how to handle data, and manage your own independent project. You will gain the necessary skills to start a career in the criminal justice system.

Entry requirements
- UCAS 104-120 tariff points from A levels or combination with AS / EPQ / BTEC/ Cambridge Technical.
- A-Levels- BBB-BCC
- BTEC/Cambridge Technical – DDM-DMM
- GCSEs C/4 or higher in English, mathematics, and a science
- IB- 26- 28 points
- Access to HE Diploma- Pass including 12 science credits at Merit
- IELTS- 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5
Careers
This BSc (Hons) Criminology degree prepares you for a range of careers. You could work in welfare careers like social work or the probation service or in areas such as the prison service, police, or the Home Office. You could work in criminal justice, the legal system, or HM Revenue and Customs.
